Administrative Assistant (Bilingual)

NewLeaf Investigation+ is currently looking for a bilingual administrative assistant with an interest in gaining experience in the field of dispute resolution. They will be required to support our team of consultants and workplace investigators.

This position is open to students completing their undergraduate studies at a Canadian university.

In recent years, our services in the area of organizational dispute prevention and resolution, including workplace investigations, have grown in scope. 

That is when the NewLeaf Investigation+  (NLI+) business line took shape

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting legal and non-legal research related to conflict resolution, human rights, labour and employment norms, laws and standards, and market research (in English and French).
  • Transcribing interview notes based on source materials such as an investigator’s rough notes or recordings (in English and French).
  • Preparing communications, such as e-mails, letters, etc. (in English and French).
  • Monitoring the general mailbox, by organizing incoming and outgoing emails.

Job Requirements.

  • Perfectly bilingual, impeccable communication skills in both French and English, oral and written form, is essential.
  • At least one (1) year of completed undergraduate studies. Law studies are an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Mastery of office software such as Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat.
  • Capacity to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong typing skills, the ability to type fast and accurately.
  • Ability to conduct legal research in English and in French and to synthesize with ease.
  • Using discretion, understanding and maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Working arrangement.

The position to be filled is a part-time position: up to 12 hours max (to be discussed, with the possibility of increasing hours based on workload).

Work is conducted remotely solely on NewLeaf-owned technological equipment.
